Shenzhen & Guangzhou Tourism (China)

Shenzhen and Guangzhou can also be explored along with Hong Kong. You can catch a high speed train from Hong Kong to reach Shenzhen or Guangzhou which takes between 30 minutes to 1 hour or you can even travel through MTR from Hong Kong to reach Shenzhen.



 

Places to visit in Shenzhen:


  1. Windows of the World

One of the best spots to visit in Shenzhen. There are almost every famous places from Eiffel Tower to the wonders of the World. It includes all the beautiful places of the World. It takes an entire day to explore the Windows of the World.


2. Ping An Finance Centre

If you want to see the city from above then you can visit the 116th floor of Ping An Finance Centre- the tallest building of Shenzhen or you can even visit KK100- the 2nd tallest building.


3. Electronic Markets

Here you can explore the World's largest electronics market at Huaqiangbei.

You can even visit other markets in Shenzhen for shopping.

 

Places to visit in Guangzhou:

  1. Baiyun mountain

Baiyun mountain is also known as white cloud mountain is a beautiful place from where you can enjoy the view of the city. You can reach to the top through cable car and while returning you can even take a walk to the down to explore the beauty of the mountain and the beautiful temples and ponds on the way down.


2. Yuntai Garden

Just below the Baiyun mountain is Yuntai Garden. There are tons of flowers and many beautiful spots to explore the amazing beauty of the garden.


3. Canton Tower

Visit Canton Tower at night to discover the astounding beauty of the tower. You can visit the observation deck at the top to enjoy the 360 degree view of the city and even the World's tallest ferris wheel which is on the top of Canton Tower.


4. Pearl river

Just near Canton Tower is the Pearl river from where you can enjoy the view of the opposite side or you can even take a ride on river cruise to enjoy the city view at night.


5. Huacheng square

Just on the opposite side of Canton Tower is the Huacheng square. You will love walking around the tallest skyscrapers of Guangzhou. Here you can explore IFC Centre, CTF Finance Centre which is the tallest building of Guangzhou, Opera house, Guangzhou museum and library, mall of the World shopping centre and much more.


6. Temple of six banyan trees

Originally built in AD537, it's one of the most famous Buddhist temples of Guangzhou.


7. Markets

On Zhanxi road, Yuexiu district, you can visit the famous Guangzhou watch market and even explore the clothes market nearby. If you are good at bargaining then you will get here almost everything from sunglasses to shoes.


8. Chimelong- If you've got some extra time then you can visit the Chimelong safari park, Chimelong paradise and Chimelong International circus which takes around 2 days to explore everything.


 

EXTRA TIPS:

  1. Along with Hong Kong, you can even explore Shenzhen or Guangzhou which are nearby. Through high speed train it takes 30 minutes to reach Shenzhen and around an hour to reach Guangzhou.

  2. You can also reach Shenzhen by road or through MTR from Hong Kong.

  3. Windows of the World is the most famous spot to visit and if you have got some extra time you can explore the other places and even visit Guangzhou.

  4. Google doesn't works in China, so I mostly used Apple maps for directions.
