1. Pashupatinath Temple
One of the most oldest and famous Temples of Nepal. A temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it includes around 518 temples. Only Hindus are allowed in the main temple. It's great and amazing to watch the evening Arti on the banks of Bagmati river.
2. Swayambhunath Stupa and Boudhanath Stupa
It's one of the famous spots to visit in Nepal. You will get a great city view from Swayambhunath Stupa. There are lots of cute monkeys near Swayambhu Temple so its also known as Monkey Temple. Or you can also visit Boudhanath Stupa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site surrounded with beautiful monasteries.
3. Chandragiri Hills
It's the most amazing place to visit in Kathmandu. You will get an amazing view of the beautiful Himalayas from above and beautiful view of the city during cable car to Chandragiri Hills. At Chandragiri hills, you can visit Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple and you will get a great shot of Chandragiri Hills Resort.
4. Patan Durbar Square
A World Heritage Site with beautiful temples and monasteries is a famous spot to visit near Kathmandu. It includes old royal palace and famous Krishna Temple.
5. Nagarkot
Best place to enjoy sunrise and sunset. From here you will get much closer and great view of the Himalayas.
6. Bhaktapur
A place with beautiful temples and an UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you can enjoy visiting the streets of Nepal.
7. Thamel
Thamel market is the most famous and biggest shopping market in Kathmandu.
8. Hiking
One can go for hiking to enjoy the true beauty of Himalayas. There are various options and packages available on Klook app.
9. Mount Everest Flight

EXTRA TIPS:
For transportation, I'd hired a private car from the hotel itself and they charge around 60-80 USD per day. It's better to hire a car instead of changing taxis again and again.
